In Lofoten, there are many opportunities for adventure. 1 hour west you are on Å, 1 hour east, you are in Svolvær. With us, at Skreda you are in the middle of Lofoten, which is the perfect base for your next stay.

Whether you are interested in kayaking, mountaineering or boat trips, you can do everything near your stay. Talk to one of our locals for a nice chat and good tips on where to go and what to do.

go directly to offersøykammen

You can walk directly from your fisherman's cabin up on the popular mountain Offersøykammen, a nice trip that stretches 436 MASL, but at the same time is not too demanding. A cliff at the top makes the experience of getting up extra spectacular. From the top, you can enjoy the view of the turquoise sea with a chalk-white sandy bottom, Nappstraumen, which flows between the straits, and you can see to Hauklandstranda.

Only 12 km away you will find the popular beach Uttakleivstranda. Here you can, among other things, experience the midnight sun at its best, and is perfect for a romantic evening walk. Close by, you find one of Europe's nicest beaches, Hauklandstranda. Here you can go straight up to the popular mountains Mannen and Himmeltinden (Vestvågøy's highest peak).

If you want to go to the grocery store, it is only 7 km to Leknes, which is open until 23:00 Monday to Saturday, and until 22:00 on Sundays. The nearest airport is also at Leknes and several shops and cafés. Lofotr Viking Museum is only 20 km away, and here you can experience many exciting things from the Viking Age.

northern lights

Here in Lofoten we are fortunate to have the right conditions to experience the fantastic northern lights from approx. September until March. Uttakleiv and Myrland are just 15 minutes away, and with little light pollution and wonderful views, they are great hotspots to experience the northern lights at its best.

Hurtigruten ships
You can take hurtigruten to Stamsund or to Svolvær. Drive from Stamsund takes 25 min, while from Svolvær takes 1 hour.

Plane from Bodø
You can take Widerøe from Bodø airport, either to Leknes airport or Svolvær airport.

Ferry to Moskenes
You can take the ferry from Bodø to Moskenes or from Bognes to Lødingen. Driving from Moskenes takes 1 hour, driving from Lødingen takes 2h and 40 mins.
